How do I determine what size I should order?
Our belts are designed to fit at your hips or through the belt loops of your pants. Loosely measure where you would like the belt to sit or through the belt loops of a comfortable pair of pants to get the most accurate fit. Please refer to our size chart for more information.

If you don't see your size represented on our size chart, we are happy to create a belt made to measure. Please contact us with the details of the belt(s) you would like to order and your measurement.


What do you mean by 'made to order' and 'one of a kind'?
Your belt is not made until you have placed your order - you choose the bead hues and the clasp that finishes your belt - and if you have a special request, we do our best to make it so.

While a strand of beads may all be in the same color family, each strand is unique. Each bead is selected and strung by hand, the shapes and hues carefully choosen making every Aila belt one of a kind.


How do I care for my Aila beaded belt?
Our beaded belts are quite durable, however, they are constucted using glass and ceramic bead as well as sterling silver and gold vermeil findings. With this in mind, we recommend you treat your belt as you would a piece of jewelry. Should your belt feature a sterling silver clasp keep it looking it's best by polishing it with a soft cloth.


What kind of payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard & PayPal to process payments for purchases ordered through our secure online shopping cart.

If you prefer to pay with a check or money order, please contact us with the details of the belt(s) you would like to order. We will contact you via email with your total or for more information. Your payment must be received within 7 days after we email your total to you. Once payment has been recieved and clears the bank, your belt(s) will be made to order.


Where do you ship to and how long will it take for my order to arrive?
Aila currently ships within the continental United States and orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with confirmation for a flat rate of $5 per item. If you reside outsite of that area, please contact us prior to placing your order for a shipping estimate.

While your package may actually ship earlier, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery as all items are made to order. Should you need your order sooner, please contact us for expedited shipping information.

Please note that Aila Designs does not ship to P.O. Boxes.


Will I be charged sales tax?
As Aila Designs is located in New Jersey, we are required to add 6% sales tax to orders shipped within New Jersey.


Do you accept returns?
Aila Designs takes great care in creating a product that is carefully constructed and of great quality, and is our goal that you are completely satisfied with your purchase.

If wish to return an item(s), please note that it must reach us within 7 days of the order being received by you. All items must be in their original condition with all tags attached. Please include a copy of your receipt.

A prompt refund will be credited in the form of the original payment method, as soon as we receive the goods in satisfactory condition. Shipping charges are not refundable unless Aila Designs has made an error with your order.


What's your privacy policy?
At Aila Designs, our customer's privacy is a high priority to us. We will not collect any personally-identifiable information about you (name, address, telephone number, email address,) unless you sign for our mailing list or make a purchase on our website. Any information you provide to us will be used only for the purpose you provided it for.

We never collect or record your financial information (such as Credit card numbers). Our shopping cart (Mal's e-commerce) uses a gateway payment processor (TrustCommerce) to securely process your transaction. For more information on their policies, please visit their individual websites.
